About Us

We are Lions! The Lewisville Lions Club is a service organization with the goal of aiding people in need, especially those who are sight impaired. Our motto: “We Serve”.

08112012364The Lewisville Lions Club takes an active role in putting our hands to work in serving our community, as well as providing financial assistance to local, state and national organizations. Our ongoing service projects include vision screenings for children and adults, eyeglass collection and recycling, Adopt a Spot creek cleanup, and volunteering at the Sports Extravaganza in Irving. Money collected by our 501(C)3 Foundation, through donations, grants, and fund-raising activities, goes toward groups like the Texas Lions Camp, Leader Dogs for the Blind, Salvation Army, Children’s Advocacy Center for Denton County, and other organizations serving people in need of assistance.

The Lewisville Lions Club, established in 1945, is chartered by Lions Clubs International, headquartered in Oak Brook, IL.  Lions Clubs International was formed in 1917, with the first convention held in Dallas, Texas. Lions International is now the largest service club in the world, having over 1.35 million members in almost every country in the world. We invite you to learn more about the Lions Clubs International organization at their website, www.lionsclubs.org.
