Donating Eyeglasses

Do you have an old or unused pair of eyeglasses? Looking for a place to donate them and give them a new life?

To donate glasses, sunglasses, or reading glasses (sorry, no broken glasses, cases, or contact lenses), simply drop them off in one of our specially marked collection boxes. Boxes can be found throughout Lewisville and Flower Mound at community locations listed below.

The glasses are collected by members of the Lewisville Lions, then delivered to the local Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center in Wautaga. At the center, volunteers clean, sort by prescription strength, and package the glasses. From there the glasses are made available to church groups, physicians, and others going to serve low income communities in Central and South America.

The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 153 million people worldwide live with visual impairment due to uncorrected refractive errors (myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism).
